Epoxy adhesive classification: (1) according to functional classification can be divided into general-purpose adhesive, functional adhesive, environmental protection adhesive. (2) According to its professional use can be divided into mechanical glue (such as agricultural machinery glue), construction adhesive (such as adhesive steel reinforcing glue), electronic glue (such as potting glue), repair glue (such as concrete filling glue), as well as transportation adhesive, marine adhesive and so on. (3) According to the curing conditions, epoxy resin adhesive can be divided into four categories: high temperature curing, medium temperature curing, room temperature curing and low temperature curing. (4) According to the packaging form can be divided into single and two-component adhesive. (5) In accordance with the adhesive joint force, can be divided into two categories of structural adhesive and non-structural adhesive.

Epoxy adhesive rheology control mechanism: fumed silica (referred to as fumed silica) is a very good rheology control agent, in a variety of reactive systems with chemical inertia, but also has the anti-sagging performance control, mechanical properties adjustment, to maintain viscosity stability during storage and other effects, by adding the appropriate amount of HIFULL ® series of products can be used to achieve rheological properties of the adhesive and sealant. HIFULL ® in the formulation after a good wetting of the adhesive and sealant. ® is well wetted and dispersed in the formulation, and the aggregates interact with each other to form a shear-sensitive three-dimensional mesh structure. The formation of this network enhances the viscosity of the adhesive during storage and prevents the components from settling. When the adhesive is subjected to shear during processing, this branched mesh structure is disrupted, resulting in a decrease in viscosity (shear thinning), and the adhesive becomes easier to process. Once the adhesive has been applied to the substrate, the HIFULL® network is re-formed (thixotropic properties) and the viscosity is quickly restored, preventing sagging and ensuring that the adhesive cures at the desired location.
